How do you work your way up to save enough money for a down payment, at least 6 months of morgae payments plus additional money for any fix uppers? Im very interested in buying and renting, but financially I dont know how (yet). Any advice?

can you start with a house hack?  this is where you live in a property, say a duplex, and rent the other side.  if you're not already you can speak to a lender about how much you would need.
