Any advice on getting started!!

I graduated from college with two construction certificates and have the knowledge to build a home from the ground up. I’ve taken courses in building construction, CAD, estimating, bidding, and blueprint reading. I currently have someone who wants me to build them a home, but I’m stuck on how to get started.

I’m looking for advice on where to begin and what steps I should take. My initial plan was to meet with an investor and then move forward with building the home, but I’m unsure if that’s the best approach. I’m open to any strategies or guidance.

While I don’t have much capital, I bring strong construction knowledge and hands-on skills. I just need a solid plan to help me get over the initial hurdle and turn this opportunity into a reality.

It sounds like you have a solid education in construction but lack construction work experience and capital. 

I think the solution is to partner with an experienced builder/developer and then build the client's home.
