Buying a property in Mexico using a HELOC loan

Hi, I am interested in purchasing a house in Mexico as a short-term rental. I don't have the money cash, so I am considering using a HELOC loan or any other viable strategy. I currently own my primary residence and have one investment property. If you have experience with this, I'd love to hear about it! Thanks in advance!

I invest in Mexico and don't understand the reactions you're getting, like the idea of buying a property in the Midwest. You'll get way more cash flow and appreciation with the right STR in Mexico.

If I want to invest or buy in Mexico, I take my advice from people who already do that if it wasn't that obvious. And plenty of Americans do and many use a HELOC on a US property. What many people don't know is that they could get a mortgage on the Mexican property for a Mexican lender and the differential is interest rates is currently much lower than it's been historically.
