Lesson learned: Insurance

During the cold spell in the northeast, pipes froze and cracked four radiators. Used the same plumbing company I always use. Their invoice gave me a price to fix everything wrong 

the insurance company I used is State Farm where I submitted copies of the invoice. They would not pay the full amount because the invoice didn't separate labor from parts. Many contractors don't like line item invoices because they don't want customers second guessing every item

this time, I got burned for a common practice. This cost me over $8000
