Would Russian Language Skills Be Valuable in Commercial Real Estate?

I’m curious to hear perspectives from agents/investors who are monolingual, bilingual, or work in multicultural markets.

I’ve spent years studying Russian and became fairly competent conversationally, but I never learned real estate-specific terminology. I’m currently working in commercial real estate in Georgia, and I may eventually transition into the Florida market in a few years.

I know Spanish would obviously be useful in Florida as well, and I may study that more seriously too. But I’m wondering whether developing Russian real estate vocabulary could still become a valuable niche skillset, especially for relationship-building or working with certain investor communities.

I realize most U.S. commercial transactions are conducted in English anyway, so I'm trying to think realistically about ROI here.

For those of you in CRE or residential:

-Have you found being bilingual to meaningfully impact your business?

-Do clients/investors tend to prefer working with someone who speaks their native language even when they know English?

-If you speak a less common language in U.S. real estate, has it actually opened doors?

Would love to hear honest experiences or perspectives.
