Hiring my first assistant taught me 3 things that completely changed how I run my real estate businessNot gonna lie, I thought hiring help would just make things easier, but at first it actually exposed how messy my own system wasEverything changed once I stopped trying to “wing it” and started building a simple structure behind my VA setupHere is what I learned

• Training is everything, but it should be a one time process. If you keep repeating it, the system is the problem, not the VA
• Experience matters way more than people think. The right VA or assistant can compress your workload by 50 percent or more if they already understand the flow
• You cannot scale chaos. If your backend is not organized, adding people just multiplies confusion instead of results

100% agree.

a VA without a system usually just creates more moving parts. but when they document what they do n build SOPs along the way, thats when things start becoming scalable.

thats actually one of the biggest benefits ive seen. once the process is documented, ur not tied to 1 person anymore. if someone leaves or u need to expand, the next person can plug right into the workflow instead of starting from scratch.

the real asset ends up bein the system, not just the VA.

@Michael Galace Yep, you hit the nail on the head here: Hiring a VA is no substitute for having a system.

That said, if you don't already have systems, then the right VA can help you by documenting exactly what they are doing for you when you ask them for help.

These documents (we call them "standard operating procedures " or "SOPs") eventually become the basis for a collection of repeatable processes that address a specific task, AKA a "system."

Now, if you have to replace a VA (or hire a new one), these SOPs become their training manual.
