STR vs Portland Oregon
…A real estate novice Lurking on the forums here for awhile and have been benefitting from everyone’s experiences and shared knowledge and trials/tribulations. Thank you
We had been attempting to purchase a STR in the Portland area. We haven't had much luck, I guess fate is protecting us.

Unbelievable, this city’s (and state) anti business stance…

I used to be very bullish on PDX market etc.. the last 4 to 5 years those in control of the state have decimated its reputation and real estate economy not full blown melt down but no longer in my mind a top teir market to consider especially the city of Portland proper. Lack of governance and law and order has created commercial deserts downtown. Starts with the governor and all the way down to all the socialist city council members of PDX . They cant understand why they have no more money.. but when 6 of your most expensive and revenue producing high rises sell for pennies on teh dollar and tax revenue on those drops 90% does not take a genius to understand there is no money for all the free give away social programs.. and the billions wasted on homeless issues that are worse now than when they started trying to help these folks.
