Jersey City, NJ or New Haven, CT

Hey guys I don't know if I am posting in the right section, but I am a noob in the real estate, still researching but I think i might have narrowed my search down to these two cities now I just need the BP community's expert advice on which city in their opinion is a better real estate play for a SFR long term buy and hold. Thanks!

Welcome! I have looked in Jersey City as well (I live about 20 minutes away). My biggest tip there is to make sure you know where the property is in the city. Rents can be very high in the more desireable sections (ie Journal Square), however that is not the case in the less trendy (and rougher) sections.
