What gives?

I really just discovered this site in the last week or so. The site content seems to be outstanding as far as content for new & seasoned investors but some of the message board threads go months between replies.
Then I notice that a lot of the posts come from Prohabber and Biggerpo, who in my opinion appear to be knowledgeable, unselfish investors.

This is a real rat-race in the investment world and while I am not an expert in a National sense... I do claim to be an expert in the abandoned house, pre-foreclosure and homeowner psychology market in the State of Texas. A lot of the techniques I teach in my classes and mentoring are applicable to other states and situations.

My point? This site can be a huge benefit if investors and would-be investors utilize it and reply to new threads and post regular replies.

I am first in line to help any investor with what I know..... but the world works better when everyone contributes.

Just my two cents... well, one cent actually. The other is invested. lol

Well I guess my approach to the business was not overlooked. Since I stressed making a "living" and not a "killing" in this business... I have attracted the attention of Kaplan Professional Schools (www.kpstexas.com). I will continue my Mentoring Program in DFW (that's Dallas Ft. Worth ProHabber, hehe) but will be teaching 3 of my 4 real estate investment courses for MCE Realtor credit as well as the public starting in mid-April. I will be teaching them in Carrollton, Ft. Worth, Dallas, Arlington, Austin, San Antonio and Houston.

I love your outlooks. that is what my business is built on- think of helping other people first and things will come back to you. I've tried to create the same feel on my blog- a place where people connect and then help each other out. Thats the best part of this business- the people! I will definitely point people in my community to biggerpockets.

I agree.  Since joining the site, I have found the articles a wealth of information as well as great place to net work.  Here's a little site I was blown away learning the different licensing requirements for different states.  Here's a site I often refer to http://www.thomas-law.com/

You make a good point here.   If we could all help one another out, the world in general would be a better place, but we're talking about this website.  I built this site with the hope of helping and informing investors.  Unlike many other sites, we don't try to shove courses, books, and other "guru" material to our investors.  While we make money from advertising, we've chosen to help investors by providing the info and tools they need for free.

That said, we've tried to create a "pure" community here.  The goal is truly to help people . . . to create a place where people can help people without worrying that someone is manipulating them to buy something not worth the $500 they're charging for it.

These forums are scraped many times a day, and we remove a ton of posts.  We will not allow the BiggerPockets Forum Community to become overrun with SPAM, and people looking to take advantage of others.  We pride ourselves in having and maintaining a clean site for everyone . . . but we do need help.
  
I urge everyone here to get involved.  Participate!  Communicate!  Lets increase the dialogue.  Help to educate one another.  Even if you've got one little piece of info that can help someone else, post it.  Let's motiveate and encourage one another.  Lets bring this place to the next level!  Lets make BiggerPockets a place where investors are blown away
