Sometimes we all need a little nudge....

So I've been getting my feet wet in real estate investing (buy and hold) here lately. I've been a traditional investor (stock market). I'm a pretty straight forward guy, I took an interest in real estate, the numbers and strategy are solid, but that being said I'm also a man of deep conviction. So before i jump off into real estate I was asking the Lord for some direction, a sign, whatever you want to call it, that this was the right decision for my family. Well long story short in the last week I lost my BUTT in the market, (I know it's only a paper loss, it's a market correction, etc). But it was exactly the eye opener I needed to get my *** ets ;) into brick and mortar. I'm young and will more than likely recover my losses, but what if I was a retired man and just lost 10% of my funds overnight. Everyone told me real estate is risky, but I'm starting to believe it's a better investment than the stock market when you use sound judgement and a calculator!
