What is a "RE Coach"?

Question

I've seen a lot of people on here refer to themselves as Real Estate Coaches. What exactly does that mean?

Do you make a living teaching other's about real estate? Is it a 'guru in the making' kind of thing? Is it some term used in course or something?

Itâ€™s not that different from sports coaching, except that it is focused on real estate investment. Even if you are goal-oriented already, a real estate coach can help you set better, more realistic, more achievable goals without sacrificing ambition. 
Even if you are already successful at buying and selling real estate, you might benefit from the services of a real estate coach. A real estate coach can focus your business and your goals, and give you an informed second opinion on your real estate practice. In fact, coaching is a better option for experienced real estate professional than for absolute beginners. Once you know the basics, you can hire a real estate coach to help you close the gap between where you are now and where you really want to be. 
You are probably, at this point, wondering how real estate coaching proceeds. Real estate coaching usually moves forward through a series of structured conversations revolving around your approach to your real estate investment business. It is essentially another name for a mentor.  The difference being: a mentor usually does so out of the goodness of their heart - a coach gets paid.

Think of a coach as a personal consultant.

Okay, so RE Brokers use RE Sales Coaches to motivate their Realtors (i.e. Glengary Glenn Ross)

Still a little sure how they work in the RE investment world.

There are real estate investing coaches and real estate sales coaches.

The real estate sales coaches typically serve as motivational/accountability figures. It's like out-sourcing leadership.

Real Estate coaches probably operate in a similar manner.
