rental purchase near interstate??

Question

will homes rent when an interstate is right behind them?  This home is  a 3-1 and sits up on a 30 ft hill from interstate but it is fairly noisy.  Maybe a privacy fence in back helps?  Looks like a good deal but I wonder if the price is due in part to the traffic noise?  Thank you for any advice

thank you very much for the replies!  we just came from looking at it.  45k estate sale price in an 80-90k neighborhood ,They said it needed 5k work looked more like 15k just to make it decent. Could see recent sewer line work - i could not find permit for, hole in roof, very little insulation in attic but plenty of racoon stuff due to a 2 foot hole in back of roof over bathroom,  they had put new carpet and paint in all rooms except the bathroom which all sheetrock was pulled down, surround pulled out,  mold on vapor barrier and adjacent areas, floor rotted and a wonderful smell.  Just too many red flags for a 650-700 month possible rental.  I do appreciate the advice and will keep them in mind in the future

there are lots of sound walls made out of tires, bales of hay and stucco and precast concrete.    we live far away from the road but up a hill and hear lots of noise... I visited a home 500 feet from major 4 lane highway with sound wall and couldn't hear it. good luck..keep laughing

do zillow or rentometer comps to see if there were/are any rentals.

will it deter people? sure.

will SOMEONE rent it? sure

at what price? that's for you or an agent to determine.

call a few agents and pretend you have a house there and want to rent it.

i'd not get one like that, but if it was the only one i could buy and price was RIGHT... i'd get it.
