Successful Team Building on BiggerPockets possible?

Hello BP,

With over 3 years of real estate experience, I have learned that Real Estate is definitely a team venture. I am still working out the kinks to building a successful team. I would like to know how long has it taken all of you to build your team? and what are some ways to do so? Also, how many of you have successfully worked with someone from the BP forum or the marketplace.?

Yes, real estate is a relationship business. I have been actively participating in real estate for about the same time as you and I think that building a successful team is an ongoing process. For many different reasons.....some people will leave the industry, others will change their business model/goals, you may change your model/goals, true colors are revealed over time, and the list goes on. I can attest to the power of BP. I have done deals with folks I've met on the site. I have also received great advice and tips from folks on BP as well. Disclosure: Properly vet anyone that you will be working with, whether its on BP or any other place. Ask for recommendations, ask them about the deals they have done, ask them about deals they are currently participating in, etc.

@Eric H.  could not agree with Eric more.. being a BP member does not vault one to a higher status than any other person out there.  and BP has a lot of scammers working this site.. I have run into a few.. just last week in Vegas ran into a guy running on an assumed name.. and he is posting right now on this site.. and if you google him its a trainwreck LOL.

also meet great people on BP.. but I am coming to the conclusion I want folks to be licensed professionals if I am going to fund them.. I find those folks are a better risk for me personally.

@Eric H. Thank you for your input. I just know that this is one of the best social networking sites for real estate, and just wondered how people truly connect on BP. Like I have said, I have been registered on this site for sometime now. So I suppose the key is to be more active and obviously investigate someone's track record.

@Jay Hinrichs I definitely agree that here are scammers on this site. I will for sure be cautious with who I go into business with. I appreciate your thoughts.
