Wholesaling - Explain Like I'm Five

Hi BP! I've done a few deals over the years, but they've all been either buy and hold or flips. I keep hearing more and more people talk about wholesaling claiming that you don't need to be a licensed realtor to do so. In the wonderful terms of Reddit, can someone explain wholesaling like I'm a five year old? Lol! Thanks in advance!
