Hello Sydney Australia! How does one get started investing here?

G'day! I'm a visiting investor from Philadelphia looking into the Sydney market. I think I'm searching for a unicorn though. Properties here are so very expensive compared to my market! Do you have any advice for where to look for deals? I'm thinking of 2-4 units if possible. Is it possible to find a cashflowing property or are the returns not sufficient for the cost? Any tips are appreciated.

Thanks!

    Hi @Garrett M.

There are options.  Federico is correct, the median house price in Sydney has just jumped over the AU$1M mark, but there are some options depending on what your family has as far as equity/cash.  Also some great options out of Sydney in Cities such as Melbourne or Brisbane - still giving very high capital growth options without negative cash flow.  Much harder to find than in the US for sure...but they are there.  Still enough to keep us Aussie investors busy :)

    Cheers
