WHOLE SALERS, WHY?! - An honest question from a fix & Flipper

Hello, quick questions:
Many Wholesalers in my area ship their deals to key entities with large lists for sizable fee and I'm trying to understand why. . . As it seems like they could make more by developing relationships with individuals themselves.

Is it the speed? Comfort of a larger pool? Convenience?

It usually only the junk deals that make it to big email blasts. The rest sell quickly and quietly to strong buyers.
