Comparing Different Passive Methods

I'm interested in hearing from experienced investors who are in position to compare different methods of passive investing.  Even though I've has some success using the Buy-and-Hold strategy, I still consider myself somewhat a novice in real estate investing.  I do have some decent capital and it's current in the Stock Market which really scares me.  Eventually transferring most of that money to Real Estate is a future goal.  Coming up on my 60 birthday, so I would like to explore more passive investment options including (1) Hard Money Lending, (2) Private Money Lending, (3) Buying and Selling Notes, (4) Syndication or even, (5) Tax Lien Certificates.  I'm a huge believer in focusing your energies in 1 or 2 areas rather being a hack at everything.  Hearing from some of you investors who have experience in these different passive methods would be much appreciated.  Help me make a decision on what method I should pursue.  Hope to hear you folks chime in!  Thank you.
