Google Voice

This might seem like an easy one to most of you seasoned investors out there, but what should the message on my Google Voice account say when potential sellers call my number?

I have something in mind, but wanted to see what other investors have used that works and gets people to leave messages.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

My thoughts...

It doesn't matter... if the phone rings, answer it...

If you can't answer it, spend the money and hire an answering service where a real person talks to them from a script you provide gathering the info you need prior to calling them back.

It doesn't matter what you say, you're going to lose callers, a LOT of callers, the moment it goes to voice mail. Someone else explained it... it takes a LOT of nerve to pick up the phone, even more to dial. Once they get a live person, they're invested and over the hump and it's rude to hang up on someone... but hanging up on voice mail, that's easy! They've already come so far to make the call, why force them to risk even more, go farther out of their comfort zone to talk to a machine?
