Bookkeeping Virtual Assistant?

Has anybody had luck with a VA (virtual assistant) with bookkeeping for their real estate investments?

@Jake Kinoshita what kind of accounting are you looking for? I actually had a nice chat with Hide with Beaver. I can definitely see how beneficial it is for the Schedule-E.

@Camille Treacy It really depends on what you're looking for in terms of bookkeeping. If you're just looking for someone to enter transactions into a spreadsheet a regular VA would be fine. If you're looking for more of a person who can also help you forecast the trajectory of your investments, you should go with a virtual bookkeeper or accountant.

Oh great. Yea, i spoke with him as well. he is a nice guy. About the accounting, not right now but I am wondering if i need to learn accounting for flipping business.

I use cozy for rent payment and beaver for accounting. It is good enough for Schedule E.

I have never used a VA. I am actually interested tho. I wonder if Bench is good.

@Camille Treacy - what kind of real estate investing are you doing? Buy & Hold, Fix and Flips, New Development Ground ups, Shopping Center, Hotels, Strip Malls/Plaza, Office, etc.

There are plenty of accountants in BP that can help manage your books (including me), but it also depends what you are looking for. Do you need someone to just do a few transaction a week/month? or you need someone to constantly keep helping you cut checks?
