Hello All,

I want to start by saying I am new to the world of real estate investing. I have been trying to learn more about this over the past few months. I came across an ad one day to team up with a real estate investor who will essentially walk me through my first deal. This ad was from Paul McGraws assistant. I filled out an application and now I am being asked to apply for a credit line with Seed Capital. If I get approved I will then have to interview with Paul to see if he will accept me into his program. I have been exchanging emails with his assistant but since I am new I felt that I should check with you guys and vet this opportunity. What do you guys think? Thanks in advance!

@Zach Kirkton don't fall for the gurus. Take it from a guy who spend some money a long time ago on a coaching program. This was before BP and my only source of intel was from books and CDs (yay, not tapes!). So, paying for a coach seemed the right thing to do.

Renting out a property is not exactly rocket sience. The business model is very forgiving, some people go as far as to say it's hard to screw up. I am a big fan of coaching and having a mentor, but it does not make sense until you have learned the basics.

It's 2020 and information is basically free; BP is the perfcet example. You can learn everything you need to know here. You have about 300 BP podcasts to listen to and you will learn from every single one.  Great way to use your time in the car. Also, go to the book section here and you can pretty much order all of them! Probably less than $200 and you'll know enough to start asking the interesting questions!
