Hey guys, does any one have a recommendation for a title company in Bakersfield and an escrow company. And what to look for in their services and questions to ask?

@Javier Rosales I have seen that it is best to make connections with your given escrow officer.  Some companies will charge a little less or a little more but they all tend to be the same.  What I have seen is there are good and bad people at all companies and the best people tend to work best with you. Feel free to PM me to chat further about that.

As far as questions:

How much do you charge? Any extra or potentially excess fees?

Title insurance process? (How easy is it to work with them if a problem is found and the recovery process?)

Check reviews online

If you are looking to do anything out of the ordinary purchase and sale, ask them if they have experience with that, and the specific property type you are looking for.  Often people will have more experience with different asset classes and this can help guide you to the right person for you.

As always, BP is a huge resource.  I'm sure they have a never ending source of articles on this topic as well.

Best of luck!

Sunny
