Purchasing Seasoned LLC's

Has anyone heard of or done this? I've found a company that opens LLC's sits on them for the required 3 years to gain commercial credit, then sells them for a small profit.

Has anyone tried this?
Is the legal?
Pros/Cons?

Very NEW Investor looking for advise.
