Have you been getting people trying to use your information??

I was wondering if other members on here have been seeing their info used in ways that are not appropriate??

I have noticed I will get calls occasionally from reputable companies asking if a certain person is affiliated with my company or I know them. In those cases I have never heard of the person mentioned.

I will also see people try and use e-mail addresses to sign up for things using other people's info.

What I have to say to this is people please do not put yourself out there as something you are not. You are only hurting yourself for any potential future of success by being deceiving and untruthful. This is not the way you want to start out in real estate. It's sad that people would conduct themselves in a way like this.

I realize that it is part of taking the good with the bad. I leave my info out there because I gain far more than the occasional problem I have to deal with.
