Should I hire a General contractor ?

Peace. I have an upcoming project on A house flip and I am trying to decide whether I want to hire a Gc or if I should hire License subcontractors myself to rehab the home. My main reasoning is time and want to save money. Any advice is Greatly recommend. ￼￼

@Simon Obas a gc is doing the work with the other providers of service a project manager will generally sub all the work out and keep the project moving along.  Really depends on what you're trying to do and the scope of the project.

How involved do you want to be?  Are you comfortable managing a large project?  Do you have a good relationship with the GC you have been working with?

Without knowing all the details, I generally default to hire a GC.  Let a pro do it so you can move onto the next thing.

Look to your local building code.  It will likely have a project dollar threshold (e.g. $30K) and scope (e.g. foundation, load bearing, etc.) that will legally require a licensed builder on the permit.

@Tina Tsysh this would be my 4th flip. I have 2 in the works (I hired GCs do them). This project would be a full home renovation. My budget is $100k

It depends on your experience and the scope of the work in the house. Have you ever done a flip yourself or this going to be your first time? In addition, is this going to be a light rehab or is it going to require a lot more work than just replacing carpets, painting walls, etc?
