Hello BP,

General question. I have several single family homes and looking to buy multi family. These homes are in good areas and low balances.

I’m debating 1031 or refi ... love to hear any feedback that I might not be considering.

Hey @Jeff Quinlan.  There are a few things to think about...

1. Would you need all the equity out of your properties to get the multi-family property you want?

2. When you do a 1031, you are in such a tight time crunch that you can't count on getting a deal.  Is that an issue for you?

3. You know the properties you own really well, would you want to deal with them for another 7+ years?

4. What would the ROI be with both situtions?
