Hi! Investing in Hawaii can be tricky- I would first start by narrowing down to what your goals are. The cash flow might not be great but appreciation there can be pretty nice. Also all the islands vary quite a bit in what they offer so I would hone in on a specific area that works for your investing goals. Understand the difference in fee simple vs leasehold as that can be common in areas there. Also watch out for condos- some may appear a great price but the maintenance/hoa fee can be very high and kill cash flow. Also if looking to STR- check the zoning, they are policing that hard and only designated areas are permitted for STR. If you have any lender questions- please don't hesitate to reach out!
