Private money from other countries

I’m an investor from Oklahoma who is living in Vietnam for a season from residual from my properties back in the US.

As I’m making friends here, I’m starting to meet some local Vietnamese business men who are interested investing with me on future projects in the US. I’ve worked with private money before, but only in the states. Anyone have experience with money from overseas? I imagine there are extra rules when it comes to this?

Any advice or resources would be helpful. Thanks!!

@Mike Hoang The other posters are spot on.  Money will need to be sourced.  Find a bank with a US banking charter.  I'm sure there are banks in the Vietnam with a US footprint.  Talk to an attorney that can assist with the private lending regulations.
