Post closing procedure request from lender

Posted

Hello all! I have a request from my lender Rocket Mortgage asking me to provide to them the Withdrawal term of 401k even though I didn’t use my 401k to down for my rental house.  My broker said they just want to have the statement if I would have future hardship.   Is that something they ask for investment if we don’t have lots of money on reserve?

Hey Lynn,

They are probably asking this question for reserve requirements on investment properties. Even though you did not use it, did you supply them with a 401K statement for reserves?

To be honest, it should have been caught prior to closing as a PTF condition (prior to funding).
