best way to find a private lender

My partner and I are very new and have our 1st potential flip under contract. Due to financing issues we had to use a hard money lender witch can get complicated and has limitations on how much we can actually do on our rehab. There is a 2nd house I would like to look into but I would rather use a private lender. Does anyone have any suggestions on the best way to get in contact with or how I could find a private lender that will work with a rookie? Just seems that most that I hear about don't want to work with anyone without experience. Any info would help and be appreciated!!
