Portfolio Lenders Detroit Area

My partners and I closed our first deal on the first of the month.  We've got some financial backing, and have found some potentially interesting properties, but they are priced such that the bigger lenders (Wells Fargo, etc.) can't loan on the properties individually.  I listened to a podcast that mentioned portfolio funding as an option to reduce closing costs, and it may open the possibility of expanding by three or four units on the next deal.  Does anyone have any information or advice on portfolio lending in the Detroit area?
