For an FHA loan, how many days you have to "physically" live in the house? I know the 1 year rule but I was wondering if it gets as specific as to how many days present. I saw somewhere on BP someone saying you couldn't be away more than 60 days at a time. I saw someone else saying it just had to be at least half the year. I travel a majority of the year volunteering with a non-profit organization. So I was wondering if its still possible to have an owner-occupied loan even if Im away for about half the year.
As long as it is your Primary residence, traveling for work or pleasure makes no difference.
If you rented out the whole house while you’re gone, that would be a problem.
