Buyers and Refinancing Owners, please remember to ask your loan officer about your eligibility for an Appraisal Waiver. The waiver will eliminate the need for an appraisal, thus saving you time and money during your closing. Plus, appraisal waivers eliminate the possibility of a low appraisal value that could cause problems.

Could you elaborate more about the "no rental income is being used for the subject property"? (1) Does that mean that the rental income is not used in calculating my DTI?

(2) And how would engaged this, just ask my lender to kindly consider me for an appraisal waiver?

 (1) Correct.

(2) You can ask if you want. It's a good news phone call we love to make, so I'm pretty sure at this point 95% of us are proactively checking for it. I just made such a phone call to a redditor 10 minutes ago actually. :)
