Investing without credit score

I recently arrived in the US, on a visa. So I don’t have any credit history yet. However, I am highly interested in the US real estate market, and I do prefer to go for leverage rather than a huge down payment.

What would you recommend?

Thanks

Othman

I had a very similar question recently...  I got on a call with a lender willing to share his time and knowledge to help me.  He told me the first thing to do is go ahead and start working to get your credit score up.  Get some credit cards from stores or anywhere you can easily pay it off.  Secondly, he told me to actively pursue financial education. If your credit score isn't great but a lender can tell you know your stuff he/she is more likely to play ball.  Those were my main two things to get done according to him. He went into more detail, but those were the main takeaways.
