Seasoning on an All-Cash purchase??

I was hoping someone could explain why a bank would require seasoning on a foreclosure that was bought using all cash.

We closed on a single family last week. The entire project should take roughly 3 weeks to complete but because of seasoning requirements we'll have to slow down a bit.

I'm just trying to understand the logistics- if there are any.

Thanks
