Has anyone had anyone had success using Home Snap?

Question

I'm researching several methods of determining ARV for properties in my area and came accross a site called homesnap, which also has a mobile app.

Has anyone else heard of this site and actually tried using their estimates? The numbers seem relatively high for the properties in my area but I'm not quite sure because they have comps on the same street that are in the same range of values.

Any help would be great.

It's a great App to use when driving for dollars. You can just snap a picture and it will give you lots of info on it. In my area the house prices were not very accurate. I do know they have updated the App recently but I have not used it in awhile.

One quick addition from their official website that shows why they may be more accurate than other "estimate sites".

Hi Jerome.

I noticed that your post had gone unanswered about Homesnap. You may have already searched here and found the answer. I was turned onto Homesnap by my wholesale mentor and he loves it. I found myself using it (while stopped) when near houses just to get a feel for the local market or whatever part of town I am in. From what I have seen, it is spoken of MUCH higher around here that Zillow and other sites like that for sure. Nothing beats a good title company comparison, but this seems to be pretty close. being able to use the app out in the field and pulling up a map view of what has sold in that area that matches what you are doing...well that is basically the definition of "pulling comps".

In the end, before you lock in any numbers and contracts, you always want to have the home inspected and valued by a professional, but Homesnap is a great starting point before you start going after a deal, to make sure it actually IS a deal.
