Starting with Seller Financing

Posted

I'm starting my REI journey and I want to go down the seller financing path. What are the skillsets I need to acquire to start on this path? Finding leads, how to sell, analyzing deals etc. Any book recommendations or certain people I should be following?

Any help is appreciated.

@James L. Demaniow, you can listen for free to Wholesaling Inc and No Limits real estate investing podcasts.  I did wholesaling when I started, and bought two courses (Long outdated: Foreclosure Fortunes in Your Backyard and Mr Preforeclosure Jeff Kaller) , and then I went and did what they told me to do.  I was up to 3 deals a month with direct mail and doorknocking, and then we got military orders to go to England.  Finding deals: I use PropStream. I would do mailers as it worked for me, and I can put that on auto, but if you want to call motivated sellers, you need to find the phone numbers from the data you glean.

That season of my investing was over, so I am not fresh up on the current methods of marketing (such as cold calling, and texting) but direct mail still works.  Pick one method and use it.
