Refinancing a Bridge Loan with Bad Credit

Jonathan Norris
Posted

This year has been a nightmare. Plans did not work out as expected and now I am experiencing hardships that is interfering with my investment properties. I have a few months left with a bridge loan. My credit with not be eligible for any type of refinance. The property is in a LLC. My question is can I change ownership of my LLC to a person that I fully trust and refinance the loan using their credit profile? If not, what other options can I explore so that I can refinance the bridge loan?

Otherwise, as you laid it out, you would be going from one can of worms to another can of worms.
From lifetime experience, except maybe your mother, careful who you trust.  Just sayin'...

agree. some really bad advice others are giving on this post (mostly because they are AI driven). Your best bet is to sell the property. You can "change ownership" if you want but you are gonna have to disclose it and the new owner of that LLC will be signing a personal guaranty as well and are they really going to want to do that?
