New Investor with a Possible Great Opportunity

I have been reading all the great articles on my Bigger Pockets emails, but have not entered into the forum until now. My wife just inherited a free-and-clear single family home worth about $90,000. We thought this would be our way into real estate investing. However, that has not been the case since the house needs approximately $15,000 worth of repairs/upgrades. We don't have the money and can't get a cash-out refi loan on a rental and we have only average credit at best. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what we could do to get this house fixed so we can start renting it out?
