Hi,

Can anyone chime in with regards to the rental market in the Rockford area, more specifically Harrison ave area. I was reading that Rockford is high crime, is that accurate ? is it a good rental market... C or D area ?

Looking forward to the dialog.

I grew up near there but has been a long time since I've been back over that way.  My recollection is it's generally B/C to the east side along Harrison as you get closer to 39, and C over to the west.  Once you're around 20th/11th and west along Harrison it gets dicier.  Definitely an area you will want to dig into with local agents and PMs to give you a feel.  UTC aerospace is the largest employer (near the property I think you may be looking at) so that might be a good way to target tenants if you pull the trigger.
