FHA Loans on duplexs

I'm new to real estate investing and I wanted to ask if there are any down sides to FHA loans? My plan was to buy a duplex when I turn 18 and live in one half and rent out the other to start my real estate investing career. So are there any downsides to FHA loans? And can I get another FHA loan after a year of living in the first duplex, to get another one and live in that?
