I’m looking for a Cost Seg Engineer. Any recommendations on companies and what was your experience with them?

@Teresa Villaruz If you are purchasing or have purchased a property that you paid $250K or more for, you are better off using a company that has experience with engineering-based studies. An engineering-based study is the IRS' preferred methodology. It requires someone experienced in construction, engineering and this specialized area of tax law. A quality study also requires an on-site visit with photos inside and outside to substantiate the items being accelerated. The sweetness of low cost goes away quickly when the IRS comes knocking. Some companies provide no-cost audit defense, others offer it for a short period of time, some charge extra for it, and still others do not provide it at all. Choose carefully.
