I live in California but own a rental in Columbus OH, do I need to report my total federal taxable income? Or will I only need to report my Columbus rental income on my Columbus city tax?

If you have a rental in Columbus OH.

You will have to file an Ohio state tax return along with a Columbus Locality return.
If you are a non-resident of Ohio / Columbus, you would normally indicate only the rentals within Columbus / OH on the return.
