Tax Questions

I'm not sure where to start. I just formed my LLC through Legalzoom and I am waiting on my EIN so that I can start applying for lines of Credit. I am going to be going into the note business. I will be the only employee until it really takes off. My question is do I have to pay payroll taxes if I am the only employee? Is there a certain number that I have to have in order to be required to pay them? If I am paying myself once a month would I be able to take out the taxes that are due then, just like a regular paycheck? Let me know your thoughts. I don't have a lot of overhead except for rent, phone, and health insurance and business related subscriptions. I just need to get some good input from others that have been there and done that.

Thanks
