Hello BP,
Does anyone in the Chicagoland area have advice on an accountant well versed in real estate? I find that most claim to know it all, but few actually know even the basics about maximizing the tax laws to help me reduce my liabilities.
Any direction you can provide is much appreciated!

I actually came on here to post this exact same thing! Currently under contract for a 3-unit in Lincoln Square. Both my wife and I have W2s, wife has an S-Corp design business, and I have an LLC for RE commissions. Looking to also write off $175k-ish in renovation in the duplex using it for my wife's design showcase. Our Accountant last year had a hard enough time answering complex RE questions and we need to make a change!
