Successor trustee question

Can a successor trustee renounce/relinquish his or her rights as the successor trustee?

What needs to done when someone (the successor) says "I don't want nothing to do with the house" that's held in a trust. Can someone else stake claim as successor to convey title?

Perhaps @Rick H. can assist me on this.
