Does House Belong on Schedule E?

Hi all,

I closed on a rental in December 2016. I didn't place it in service until February 2017. Should I still put it on my 2016 Schedule E? It would be listed with 0 rental days and 0 personal days, which would seem a bit odd. Then again, not sure if I should establish a record with the IRS of the purchase.
