So I've got 4 vacation rentals now. One of which is 50/50 with a partner. I will get a hefty 1099 from airbnb this year. How does this work from a tax standpoint?? With a lease I have many advantages. With a 1099 aren't I a simple self employed left sider? Thanks!

There is no self-employment tax on rentals.

It sounds like there is a property for which you split the profits 50/50, but Airbnb will issue the 1099 to your name?
