It's definitely beneficial to have someone that's got a local presence, but we're way past the days when that was crucial. On the contrary, today were far more mobile as individuals and as investors and today's local practitioner may not be local to you tomorrow. You need a practice that's designed to handle everything electronically and remotely - no papers, manila envelopes, or shoeboxes. With a firm that leverages apps and the cloud you'll be more efficient and get far better results.
