I am looking for a good accountant in the Kansas City area that has experience working with investors. A partner and I are about to begin our first flip and we are looking for a accountant to help us with any questions we may have along the way.

You are ahead of the game in searching for a pro to help you out prior your first flip. Having someone to consult with as you are getting started can save a tremendous amount of headaches down the road. 

I'm not aware of any KC accountants on BP, but there are many on BP that work with investors cross-country. If you can;t find someone local, check out the pros on the forums.
