Since you are posting here on BiggerPockets and your title says 'Real Estate Investor' - I'm assuming you are looking for a CPA who specializes working with real estate investors? If that is the case then I would suggest that rather than looking at the location of such expert you look at his credential and expertise. There are several experienced accountants here who work with real estate investors and many of them are able to assist clients remotely, the physical location compared to the skills and abilities is of little importance.
